Combo Flags was founded in 2003. My wife, Judith, and I had been involved in an international relationship since 1999. I lived in the United States and Judith lived in The Netherlands. When she gave up everything she had ever known to be with me in the United States, I felt the need to show her my love and appreciation by giving her something that represented both of our countries, our cultures, our pride, and would at the same time symbolize our relationship.
An idea started developing in my head of combining two flags which would represent all of that. I combined a Dutch and American flag, and framed the print for her. When I saw her reaction to this gift, I instantly knew I couldn't keep this discovery to myself. And so, Combo Flags was born. The result of all this, can be viewed on this website. Any flag combination can be created. Whether from the flags you see here on the website or custom flags, made from images of your choosing.
